On 5/22/2019, Christina Little Riford & her brother Kevin Riford would go to the Town of Tonawanda Police Department located in Erie County, New York. Upon arriving they would be asked by the police officer behind the counter what they would like to report. They told the officer they wanted to report FBI Special Agent Brian Burns. The officer stated he would have to recuse himself off making this report, as he knew FBI SA Brian Burns, but that he would go get another officer to make the report. Christina and Kevin agreed to this. They would wait approximately 1.5 hours to make the report and would be told they were doing a shift change when questioning the long wait time.
Eventually they were greeted by an officer whom took them to a back room in the police department. They told the officer what statements were made and that they could provide a web link that he could listen to while they were both there. The officer input the weblink into a computer and played one audio clip, despite there being several more. The officer did not want to make a police report, but agreed to make a police complaint, and told both Kevin and Christina to report it to the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility.
What’s ironic is how in the report the officer states that the alleged threat was unsubstantiated, but to report it to the FBI OOPR. If the alleged threat was unsubstantiated, wouldn’t he tell Christina and Kevin the exact opposite? LISTEN TO THE FBI AUDIO HERE
Perhaps even more ironic is how the police officer whom would take the report, would later be fired by his own police department, and the Buffalo News would publish a ‘hit’ piece on the officer. Was Officer Lewandowski terminated because he referred Kevin and Christina to filing a report with the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility? Was Officer Lewandowski not supposed to make a report at all? Below is a copy of the police report made by officer Lewandowski.
Two years and five months later, Town of Tonawanda Officer Lewandowski would be terminated from the Town of Tonawanda Police Department. source: https://buffalonews.com/news/local/tonawanda-fires-town-cop-suspended-four-times-since-2017/article_b4c482aa-4175-11ec-8f0f-df70fb744e3d.html
